SHORT LAB HISTORY


The Laboratory of Machine Elements at NTUA was established in 1941 and is one of the oldest laboratories of the School of Mechanical Engineering.


The research team of the Laboratory includes:

  • 2 faculty members
  • 10 PhD candidates/researchers
  • Over 20 members, including undergraduate students and technical staff.
Scientific areas related to:
  • Kinematic and dynamic analysis of machine elements and components
  • Modeling and design of power transmission and motion transfer systems.
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Applications of advanced materials in machine elements.
  • Testing the proper functioning and structural integrity of machine elements.
